Hello all!
At ELECTRIC EARS we don’t do things by accident, that is why we came up with a specially "designed-for-the-iPhone" keyboard layout that will make your playing experience memorable, on the go, in the studio, and even on stage with your band!!
Even
if you play by ear you will find your way in minutes, trust us!
A normal basic synth has a complex interface, the problem when creating a synth for the iphone was to fit all the several components (Oscillators, filters, envelopes, and keyboard) into that small display... what you will find elsewhere wasn't the best solution for us, mainly because a traditional piano look-like keyboard it is very uncomfortable to use on a multitouch surface... So that is why we decided to try something new and to complete change the way you might expect a synth to be organized on a mobile device.
We believe that from amateurs to experts can use our layout without problems and we encourage people to use euno lite as part of their live set-up gear.
It will simply blow you head off when using it alongside a guitar amp with nice pedal effects!
Unleash your creativity!
thanks,
The EE Team.

Dear people at Electric Ears,
ReplyDeleteI download Euno Lite some hours ago and gave it a spin... I love the way it sounds... Don't quite know if it's the best iPhone synth out there, but it really sounds great. I can see that you feel that the new "keyboard" layout is the way to go... I don't quite think so... and here's why: (maybe I haven't figured the app out yet...) It's not only unfamiliar to try to find where the notes you want to play are, but if you want to play a bass over an actave with the light version you're left with C as the only possibility... As well as I didn't see a way to test the sound when adjusting the parameters... (at least give the user a test button on the parameter pages...) Going back and forth between eg. the filter and the keyboard makes it tiresome to use the app while it could be smooth and fun, because the sound has potential... Right now I could only see it to make sounds, sample them and use them in an other app or with Cubase, Logic, Reason etc...
Looking forward to see where this one is going as it seems to have a lot of potential.
D.
